Elisa & Josh | Redo the "I Do" Series | The Inn at Meander | Locust Dale, VA
Since moving to Virginia in January, I had been dreaming up a styled shoot that spoke to me: an opportunity for multiple couples to redo their wedding portraits that may have not gone well or happened at all the first time around.
During a 2 am hang out session with Claire, my bestie, she brilliantly came up with Redo the “I Do” and suddenly my dream came to life!
I’m not sure how it all happened (#blessed, amirite?!), but all 5 couples were incredible. Seriously, we all walked away as friends and I could not have had a better experience!!
In an effort to give all 5 of them the attention they deserve, I’m going to give them each their own blog post.
Up first: Elisa & Josh!!
These two lovebirds have been together for 10 years and have 4 beautiful babies. Their story is a simple one, they were young and madly in love. The size of the wedding didn’t matter, the color of the flowers weren’t important - they just knew they wanted to be together forever.
Ten years later and the passion is still there with these two! I wouldn’t say that they feel like they “missed out” on a wedding, but they definitely wanted to celebrate their anniversary milestone! I can’t say I blame them, especially when you’re a stunning couple!
The power of the first look was so surprising to me. It wasn’t until that day that I realized that hardly any of the “brides” had ever been in a wedding dress! Their husbands had never seen them as a “traditional” bride and the reactions were incredible. I can’t lie, I may or may not have shed a few tears throughout the day!
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Elisa and Josh’s Redo and it definitely wouldn’t have been possible without all of the amazing vendors! I’m so grateful for each and every one of them!!
